Le Café France

I recently discovered this charming little place!

Hace poco encontré este lugarcito encantador!

I totally recommend the chocolat éclair. Oh lala!

But everything looks so gourmet and beautiful!
.....

I was running to my hair stylist appointment, so I just went for a latte and took the photos too quickly. I plan to go back with my 35mm lens, and have lunch there with my mom!
.......

Our Father's Day

My boys

Clara had to be part of it too!

Clara tenía que participar, por supuesto!

Two "very manly" movies and something else:

Hand made by the little artist of the family!!

Tons of love for the Daddy of the house!!!
At the end, Clara received a big hug for all the help.
.....

And Luna decided she just wanted to watch the whole thing from her corner of the room.
....

What an attitude!
.....
Qué actitud!

French Country in the tropics

So, on Easter (I know... ages a go) my sister in law invited us to spend the day at the country. I enjoyed the place sooo much, I had to share it with you all!

Inside was also very pretty

How gorgeous is this window?

Even the table for the telephone was cute!
Did you like it?

How can anyone be blue in Paris?

So my dears, here I am happy as a clam  with my morning coffee, my toasts with jam and cheese (delicious gouda with pesto!) and listening to this song by Frank Sinatra:

"Gone and got the blues in Paris
Paris blues called Azure-Te
How can I be blue in Paris?
It's easy 'cause you're far away
Can't lose these blues, this Azure-Te

Side-walk tables filled with people
Always happy, always gay
Still I'm all alone in Paris
Praying you'll return someday
Can't lose this blues, this Azure-Te

Montmarte, springtime, Eiffel Tower
Funny taxis, the kids at play
Paris without you is lonesome
Yearning more and more each day
Can't lose this blues, this Azure-Te

If you knew how much I need you
You'd come back to me to stay
Having you with me in Paris
Really is the only way
To lose this blues, this Azure-Te
These Paris blues, this Azure-Te"

Come on Mister Sinatra get over it! Go walk a little, eat a macaron...it's Paris! And there's nowhere else I would rather be this morning...

Romantic make over

So here it is...my grandma's renovated dresser.
......

I still want to sand the curves a little
.....
Todavía me hace falta gastarle las curvitas

But it´s ready and looking pretty to me!
.....

I wanted to rescue it's vintage feel, and just placed on it things that belonged to our grandparents, the cutlery was a gift from my mother in law's mother, one of the very first things we got when we started living together. She is not with us anymore, we called her Ata... she was adorable.
.........

This belonged to my father in law's father, his name was Celso, my husband is called after him and he really loved his grandpa, his nickname was Tata, he was a gifted fisherman and also loved to cook, just as my husband!
....

It is the  framed menu of a french restaurant
.....

And this is the whole view of the space, well a part of it.
.....

Next time I'll show you where I keep the dishes...guess what color is it!
.....
