Charming little trees

You´ll see, I have never been a fan of huge trees and the tons of effort that envolves decorating them.
One of my sisters in law lives in Strasbourg, France and last year she bought this gorgeous small but fat chistmas tree that looked sooo cute. I also love the fact that her ornaments are home made, such as dried oranges she once sent us by mail.

I fell in love with her lovely tree and now I want to show you these similar options I found:

I guess this would be the perfect size for my home since there´s a child who wants to surround it with presents and a husband not too willing to quit traditional big trees...But I will give it a try!

So, NOW have you started decorating?
I´m sure I´m not the only enthusiastic!

Thanksgiving dinner:check!

Honestly I didn´t expect it would take so much hard work and I regret I didn´t have the time to take pictures.
But I can proudly say there was a bunch of happy people enjoying conversation and sharing great food.
Our friends and family appreciated the evening and I´m really glad I made it :)

I'm still tired, this has been a very long weekend for me but since the sweet Jacqueline asked, I went to the fridge and got this little proof...

Pumpkin pie made by my mother in law!
(It´s gonne by now...Ate it while the pics were loading)

Hope your thanksgiving was awesome!

Talking turkey?

It´s funny how everyone in blogland is talking turkey, and there are some girls who haven´t even been posting these days. I figure they must be busy shopping and cooking for this holiday...

I must share a little secret. I am planning a thanksgiving dinner myself. My first one. Some people just don´t get it. It´s not even a tradition here in the tropics but I think this tradition is too beautiful. And why can´t one be thankful too? even if I have nothing to do with pilgrims? Yeah, I thought so!

Wish me luck...please.

Este tiene que ser el mejor del mundo:

Con salsa mediterránea, berenjena, hongos, zuchini, lechuga fresquísima, jamón virginia y queso suizo. Por algo se llama El Tuanis!

Feliz lunes :)

Smells like Christmas!

Not yet, I know! But I can´t help it...

I found this great tip  for all the girls with a fake christmas tree.

How cool is that?
I was tempted to buy a real tree just for the smell of it all over my home but the dogs might end up chewing the leaves and it´s kind of dangerous, so this idea is very handy!

Are you decorating already or are you a pleasure delayer like me?
