En Sus manos / In His hands

........

I got to the end of my vacation, it was time for me to go back to my routine but I had so many worries in my head, so much pain.
Good thing I remembered that through the hardest times God has always been beside me, I remembered right on time that He never failed me.
........

.....................

So I gave to Him all the weight I felt on my shoulders and once more God took care of my worries. Every time He does it, He fullfills my heart.

...................

Today I want to ask for strenght for the families of the ill people in the hospitals, their wives, their children, their grandchildren. I pray that God concedes peace to their souls and strenght to their spirits. Shall their hearts never lack of faith.

Salmo 23

me conduce junto a fuentes tranquilas
y repara mis fuerzas.
Me guía por el camino justo,
haciendo honor a su Nombre.
Aunque pase por un valle tenebroso,
ningún mal temeré,
porque Tú estás conmigo.
Tu vara y tu cayado me dan seguridad.
Me preparas un banquete
en frente de mis enemigos,
perfumas con ungüento mi cabeza
y mi copa rebosa.
Tu amor y tu bondad me acompañan
todos los días de mi vida;
y habitaré en la casa del Señor
por años sin término.

Amén!

Descansando / Just chillin'

Hola a todas!

Amor a primera vista / Love at first sight

............

I've seen this movie about four times and though it's funny and Meryl Streep is my favorite actress ever, what actually made me buy the DVD was my affaire with the main character's home.

..............

In this movie my dear Meryl is called Jane, she took cooking classes in Paris (how cool is that!) and she owns a bakery in Santa Barbara. She is making up her mind between giving his cheater ex husband a chance or start seeing the architect she just hired.
It's very funny but let's get to the important part:
the house...

Las tejas...
.....

 The tiles...

......

I crave for that work table and a splinker!

El baúl de mimbre...
.....

 That wicker trunk...

La huerta de mis sueños...
.....

 The orchard of my dreams...

Qué cocina más coqueta!
......

 So pretty!

Adoro esa ventanita y los sartenes colgados.
.....

I love the little window and the hanging pans.

.....

You can see how the orange pops out of the beige and vanilla palete.

.....

I would totally get out of the picture those blue cushions and that little black table.

The floor...the windows..the light fixture...the lamp!

Si hay un baño acogedor es éste!
.....

 Such a cozy bathroom!

Ahhhh!
¿Ya se enamoraron igual que yo?
......

Loving the desk as a bed side table, the french chair, the orange blanket on the bed, the headboard and the bamboo at the windows.
Ahhhh!
Fell in love already?

¿Reforestamos? / Shall we reforest?

........

Sure, even if we have to start reforesting our own backyard!

El corazón del hogar / The heart of my home

........

It may sound worn out, but I'm one of those who think that the haert of a home is in it`s kitchen.

........
Because it`s where I prepare all kinds of spells....

......
For instance, one that never fails is the smell of just maid coffee, it gets any husband right out of bed...Another that's great for bringing kids around is the smell of baked cookies, works like a charm even if they are at the neighbor's house!

......

One night a woman came to my house, she stoped by for a work matter and she got in when we were just sitting to eat dinner. It was october and outside was pouring rain, the women crossed the door complaining about traffic and apologizing for her timing.

Suddenly she made silence, took a deep breath and said: "Yum! It smells like home in here!" The potion was bean soup, nothing extraordinary. But the love I put on it must had felt all around the house... And see? that spell works out even with strangers!

.......

My opinion is that to be able to do such magical rituals (that once belonged to our moms and grandmothers) it doesn't matter the space or the recipe, what's really important is to put  your heart on it.

.......

Good luck with the magic and happy monday to all!
