Amor a primera vista / Love at first sight

He visto esta película unas cuatro veces y aunque está divertida y Meryl Streep es mi actríz favorita de todos los tiempos, lo que me hizo comprar el DVD fue mi affaire con la casa del personaje principal.

I've seen this movie about four times and though it's funny and Meryl Streep is my favorite actress ever, what actually made me buy the DVD was my affaire with the main character's home.

En esta peli mi querida Meryl se llama Jane, estudió cocina en París (qué envidia) y su negocio es una repostería en Santa Bárbara. Está decidiendo si vuelve con el ex marido que le dio vuelta o si empieza una relación con el arquitecto que acaba de contratar.

La comedia está buenísima pero vamos a lo importante:

In this movie my dear Meryl is called Jane,she took cooking classes in Paris (how cool is that!) and she owns a bakery in Santa Barbara. She is making up her mind between giving his cheater ex husband a chance or start seeing the architect she just hired.

It's very funny but let's get to the important part:

Adoro esa ventanita y los sartenes colgados.

 I love the little window and the hanging pans.

En la decoración predominan los colores vainilla, beige y naranja.

 You can see how the orange pops out of the beige and vanilla palete.

Yo sacaría de ahí los cojines azules y esa mesita negra.

 I would totally get out of the picture those blue cushions and that little black table.

Los pisos... las ventanas... el candelabro...la lámpara!

The floor...the windows..the light fixture...the lamp!

Si hay un baño acogedor es éste!

 Such a cozy bathroom!

Amo el escritorio como mesa de noche, la silla francesa, la cobija anaranjada sobre la cama, el respaldo, los cuadros y la sencillez de las persianas de bambú.

Ahhhh!

¿Ya se enamoraron igual que yo?
