Pancakes,pancakes

Thanksgiving dinner:check!

Honestly I didn´t expect it would take so much hard work and I regret I didn´t have the time to take pictures.
But I can proudly say there was a bunch of happy people enjoying conversation and sharing great food.
Our friends and family appreciated the evening and I´m really glad I made it :)

I'm still tired, this has been a very long weekend for me but since the sweet Jacqueline asked, I went to the fridge and got this little proof...

Pumpkin pie made by my mother in law!
(It´s gonne by now...Ate it while the pics were loading)

Hope your thanksgiving was awesome!

Sandwich?

Feliz lunes :)

My first stew Part Deux

It turned out sooo distant to the original that let´s just forget about the recipe for now!

I served it with Cus Cus... quite a variation so, Julia Child must hate me!

And for dessert, voilá!

Brownies with Nutella on top :)

My first stew

I have been craving for a pot of hot stew, such a comforting dish suited for a rainy evening. I had my eye on this recipe from one of my french cuisine books (not the last purchase, though).

It is called Boeuf Bourguignon, a bit famous!

But I might be insulted by a french cook: Basically I used the very same ingredients but cheated a little because unlike the original recipe, I used the slow cooking pot instead

Some tropical improvising! Ha!

(It´s blackberry sauce)

It all goes in, looking good together!

And then just have to wait, and wait

And wait...Right Clara?

She sits besides me trying not to fall asleep every time I cook

Oh here´s a preview!

And since we were already in the kitchen why not baking the dessert in advance?

Chocolate cake it is!

I can not explain how good the whole house smells!
I´ll share both recipes with you as soon as I know if it worked out!

At the market

When I saw these two I knew I had to take their picture, they seem  very nice people, they grow onions and garlic and go sell it to the market every week.

I asked her to open her eyes a little for one more picture and this is how it turned out!

Isn´t she cute?

I hope you had a lovely weekend.

Mastering the art...

Look what I've got!

Yes!

See how pretty it is on the inside

I won´t be doing this one, I´m sure!

But wish me luck with the rest!
